Organization of IAICS

The Organization Structure of IAICS consists of the following

THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS The Executive Director represents the Board of Directors and chairs its annual meetings and scheduled events.

THE INTERNATIONAL ADVISORY BOARD The International Advisory Board includes active members of the organization who serve the organization as advisors. They function as a liaison between the different groups within the organization. Members of the Board of Directors are selected from this group

TECHNOLOGY COMMITTEE
The Technology Committee consists of those who develop the web pages for the organizaton. They function as web designers and computer programmers. They are the ones who have created the website e-mail system, and other computer related functions associated with this web site.

THE EDITORIAL BOARD OF ICS The Editorial Board is chaired by the General Editor of the journal of Intercultural Communication Studies (ICS). There are four other editors who assist in the promulgating of the two annual issues of ICS. From time to time, Special Editors of ICS are named. These are usually conference directors who work with the board in the publication of these special issues of ICS.

ELECTED OFFICERS
The President of IAICS serves for two years. The President delivers a plenary address upon his or her inauguration during the international conference. This office is also responsible for the chairing of the closing events of the annual conference.

The VicePresident serves a concurrent two year term The Vice President serves as the President Elect and assumes the Presidency at the end of the binary term of office.

CONFERENCE COMMITTEE The members of this committee consist of the current directors and organizers of an international conference, the members of the last international conference, and the members of the next international event.

Ex-Officio Members These are members who have served the organization but who are no longer active in those roles. Past Presidents serve as ex-officio members of the Board of diretors. Past members of the Board of Directors also share in this status as ex-officicio members.

In Memoriam Theer are several past officers and active partners in IAICS who have departed. Their service and dedication to the organization is honored by this remembrance.
